I am excited to offer you a copy of my book, Farmer to Father, for a donation to the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

The book highlights my boyhood days on a farm in Iowa, my years in the seminary when I discerned God's call to be a priest, and my journeys - both spiritual and physical - in the priesthood.  I hope you will find the book to be humorous, as you read about the stories of my childhood antics - and inspiring, as you learn about my priestly work. 

Perhaps my most memorable ministry was as the Oblate Director of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Illinois from 1997 to 2007.  As Director I was privileged to visit several Oblate mission lands, where I experienced firsthand the poverty and despair my brother Oblates are working to overcome.
