Dear Friend,
Our youth are working with the community to raise funds for a very exciting project: a two-week trip to Madrid, Spain for World Youth Day next summer! World Youth Day is an annual gathering of young Catholics developed by Pope John Paul II in 1984, meant to promote fellowship among Catholic youth.
Although we started raising funds over the winter, we will continue to work throughout
the summer and beyond until we have funding for as many youth who might like to attend this spiritual gathering. We will need to raise $3,300 for each child, and it’s exciting to see everyone coming together for this cause.
As we prepare for our World Youth Day pilgrimage I invite you to send your special
intentions to me. The people of the Tekakwitha missions would be honored to remember you in prayer this summer.
I ask you also to consider sending a donation to support the youth of our missions in Sisseton, South Dakota and White Earth, Minnesota. To show my appreciation for your support I have selected a beautiful rosary. This rosary is designed specifically to remind you of our wonderful Tekakwitha missions.
