As we enter this joyous Christmas season and prepare for Our Lord’s birth, I want to thank you for your faithful support of our global missionary efforts in another challenging year.

Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. It’s a magical season, a time for drawing close to our family and loved ones as we join together in prayer and celebration to honor the birth of Our Savior Jesus. 

To thank you for your generosity to the world’s poor, I have prepared a handful of very special Christmas gifts just for you:

My first gift is one of prayer: I have arranged for a Christmas Novena of Masses in Bethlehem to be celebrated in your honor, beginning on Christmas Day and continuing for nine consecutive days. If you would like to have your loved ones remembered at this Novena, please send me their names today. Your petitions will be remembered not only in Bethlehem, but also at our two spiritual centers here in the United States: Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto and Tepeyac de San Antonio, Texas and the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Illinois.

In addition to my prayers on your behalf, I would like to offer other gifts to show my gratitude for your dedicated support of the mission poor. The first is our exquisite Winter rosary, which I would be thrilled to send as a sign of our gratitude for your gift of $25 or more — and as a reminder to spend this joyful season in reverent prayer.

If you would prefer, your gift of $25 can instead arrange a special Christmas candle lighting on your behalf at the Shrine. And if you feel moved to give $50 or more, I will happily have a candle lit for you in Bethlehem during our special Christmas Novena there.
