Be a Missionary of Hope This Christmas
The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate bring hope to the poor and abandoned through their missions and ministries.
For example, in Cuba, there are few Christmas lights, trees or gift-giving. But the trappings of Christmas are not important to the Missionary Oblates. Instead, they are simply thrilled they can celebrate Christmas liturgies, introducing the story of the birth of Christ to people who were denied this knowledge for generations. We would be honored to remember you in prayer in three special ways this Christmas.
- Bishop William Shomali in the Holy Land will ensure your prayer intentions are part of a nine-day Christmas Mass Novena at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, built over the cave believed to be Jesus’ birthplace.
- Father Salvador “Chava” Gonzalez, OMI, will pray for you and your loved ones at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Illinois.
- Father Richard Hall, OMI, will include your prayer intentions at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto and Tepeyac de San Antonio, Texas.
