Located in the beautiful Annunciation Garden, the MOTHERS MEMORIAL WALL honors Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and all mothers.  In the summer months hundreds of roses are in full bloom, enhancing the beauty of this area.  This site includes a reflecting pool of water with four large Byzantine bells that toll on the hour.
Curved Memorial walls display the names of thousands of mothers who are memorialized.  A Prayer Capsule includes the names of those remembered in the annual Mother’s Day Novena celebrated at the Shrine.  Memorial plaques at the MOTHERS MEMORIAL WALL are reserved for mothers only.
The nearly 4,000 Oblate priests and brothers throughout the world will pray for all those memorialized at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. Also, over one million pilgrims to the Shrine a year will be asked to pray for those remembered by your Memorial.
