Honoring the Blessed Mother’s first appearance in the Americas, the HILL OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE celebrates the universality of the Christian faith.  This site is a replica of the Hill of Tepeyac in Mexico where Mary appeared nearly 500 years ago to St. Juan Diego.  A liturgical celebration honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe is held at this site each year in December
The nearly 4,000 Oblate priests and brothers throughout the world will pray for all those memorialized at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows.  Also, over one million pilgrims to the Shrine a year will be asked to pray for those remembered by your Memorial.
