Daily Prayer 5/29

Memorial Day

Novena for Vocations

May 21 is the Feast of St. Eugene de Mazenod, founder of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Oblate Priests and Brothers around the world are currently praying a Novena for Oblate Vocations. Each day we are focusing on one theme related to Oblate life. Today’s focus is A Father of All as we reflect on Blessed Joseph Gérard, OMI. Read about his life and ministry here.

Please join us in prayer that God will continue calling men to follow in St. Eugene’s footsteps and minister to those most in need around the world.

Morning Offering:

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month that Church movements and groups may rediscover their mission of evangelization each day, placing their own charisms at the service of needs in the world. Amen

Daily Prayer:

Eternal God, lift the hearts of those who carry painful memories with them every day.  We remember in a special way those who have passed serving our country. Watch over our armed forces who serve today and bring them home safely. Grant us the gift of true peace and give us the courage and wisdom to put an end to all warfare. Amen
