Through prayer and reflection, Lord, show me what You want me to do today. Then guide me to follow Your will, rather than my own desires. Amen.

Luke 8:16-18

Jesus said to the crowd:
“No one who lights a lamp conceals it with a vessel
or sets it under a bed;
rather, he places it on a lampstand
so that those who enter may see the light.
For there is nothing hidden that will not become visible,
and nothing secret that will not be known and come to light.
Take care, then, how you hear.
To anyone who has, more will be given,
and from the one who has not,
even what he seems to have will be taken away.”

This week the Missionary Oblates in Zambia are praying for you.

Our Lady of the Rosary Parish

One of the places you are being prayed for is at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in the Diocese of Caxito.  The parish also includes the Virgin of the Poor Pastoral Center.  Since 2011 the Oblates have served the rural Christian community of Panguila.  Seeing the situation of human, moral, intellectual, material and spiritual poverty of the area, the Oblates focus their pastoral action around an important sentence of the founder of the Oblates, St. Eugene De Mazenod: “We must lead people to act like human beings, first of all, and then like Christians, and, finally, we must help them to become saints.”
