Morning Offering
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month. Amen
Daily Prayer & Reading for January 23, 2023
Day of Prayer for Unborn Children
Almighty God, You are the source of all life. We thank You for the gift of life. Help us to uphold the sanctity of life in our thoughts, words and actions. May we bear witness today and every day to our belief that each person in this world is sacred because You are our Creator. Amen.
Mark 3: 22-30
The scribes who had come from Jerusalem said of Jesus,
“He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and
“By the prince of demons he drives out demons.”
Summoning them, he began to speak to them in parables,
“How can Satan drive out Satan?
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
And if a house is divided against itself,
that house will not be able to stand.
And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided,
he cannot stand;
that is the end of him.
But no one can enter a strong man’s house to plunder his property
unless he first ties up the strong man.
Then he can plunder his house.
Amen, I say to you, all sins and all blasphemies
that people utter will be forgiven them.
But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit
will never have forgiveness,
but is guilty of an everlasting sin.”
For they had said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

This week the Oblates in England are praying for you.
The Oblates and parishioners at Sacred Heart Parish in London are active in outreach to residents living at a nearby homeless shelter. Three nights a week volunteers from the parish cook and serve food for the residents at Ashford Place. “This is a practical way of us reaching out to those on the margins of our community,” said Fr. Terry Murray, OMI
