Lenten Reflection for 3/22
Wednesday of the Fourth Week of Lent
Almighty God and Father, who through Your Only Begotten Son, has conquered death and unlocked for us the path to eternity, grant that we may rise up in the light of life.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Isaiah 49:8-15; John 5:17-30

“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever hears my word
and believes in the one who sent me
has eternal life and will not come to condemnation,
but has passed from death to life.”
For Christians, eternal life begins upon belief in “the one who sent” Jesus. Those who do not believe in God move through life in an eternal process of death. But we who believe move through life in an eternal process of coming alive. It is life in the kingdom of God.
We continue to transform ourselves by periodically going into the desert of our Inner Room. Through this eternal process, we deepen our relationship to God and the knowledge of God’s love. It is there in the desert that we pass from death to life.
- How can I hear God’s Word today and achieve His will?
- Can I help others hear God’s Word today?
