Join the Family of Our Lady Club

Co-missionaries in this club support the spiritual and healing ministries of the Missionary Oblates in the United States at their two spiritual homes: National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, Illinois (the Shrine); and Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto and Tepeyac de San Antonio, Texas (the Grotto).

The Shrine is renowned throughout the Midwest for its annual Way of Lights depicting the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem. Lesser known is its important work in giving hope, help, and healing to recovering addicts. The Shrine has nearly 200 acres that also encompass a retirement center for Oblate priests and brothers (see Oblate Emeritus below) and lay people, as well as the King’s House Retreat & Renewal Center, which has helped thousands of men and women find their spiritual center in the past 40 years.

The Grotto is the heart of the Hispanic community in San Antonio, and its Sunday outdoor Masses are attended by thousands. Located on five acres, the beautiful Grotto honors two revelations of Our Blessed Mother: as Our Lady of Lourdes in the Old World and as Our Lady of Guadalupe in the New World. On its grounds is the Oblate School of Theology, where seminarians become Oblate priests and brothers (see Seminarian Sponsorship below).

The Oblates are also involved in environmental work around the world, especially as it relates to the earth’s poorest residents. You also support the Oblates’ La Vista Ecological Center in Godfrey, Illinois, which includes an organic garden located at the Oblate Novitiate.
