Saint Michael, Pray for Us

But let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.   – Psalm 5:11

So often in life we may find ourselves overwhelmed, unsure or afraid, searching for comfort and strength in difficult times.

Fortunately, God has given us angels for this exact reason—to pray for us, guide us and protect us here on earth. There is no more powerful angel than Saint Michael the Archangel, leader of all angels in God’s army in Heaven.

Saint Michael is the patron saint of grocers, paramedics, soldiers, doctors, police and sickness, invoked to protect us against the evils of Satan as a champion for believers of Jesus. I cannot think of a more appropriate figure to aid us in our prayers and bring protection during this time of global uncertainty.

Just as the protection of Saint Michael the Archangel can bring you comfort and peace, the support of our Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate USA donors has brought hope and healing to the mission poor.

Your support for our missionary efforts brings the Good News of Our Savior to the poorest communities around the world.

I hope today you will consider extending your healing love to the women, children and families in our missions with a generous gift of $20, $15, $25 or whatever amount you can afford. In return, I have a gift for you…

If you or a loved one are in need of healing or comfort, please join us in a gift of prayer where your personal needs will be lifted to Heaven to ask for Saint Michael’s intercession.

The Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate USA will be holding a Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto and Tepeyac de San Antonio and the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Illinois in honor of Saint Michael to ask for his protection and comfort. At this Mass we will be lifting up the names of our Mazenodian-Oblate Family and their loved ones in need of healing. Your petitions for healing will also be honored at a special Mass in the Holy City of Rome.

Please send me your needs for healing and those of your loved ones. I will ensure that they are presented at the altar during this special event to lift your needs for hope and healing to Heaven. Simply click the prayer petition button below.

Prayer is our greatest weapon against stress, anxiety, fear and sadness, and praying often is important. The more we pray, the closer we grow in our faith, nurturing a strong connection to Our Lord. Our Heavenly Mother always prays for us in Heaven. It is through prayer that miracles occur, so we are encouraged to spend more time in prayer.

Our Missionary Oblates work every day to bring hope and healing to those suffering from the wounds of hunger, disease, neglect and advanced age… and they need your assistance to help make miracles happen in the lives of the mission poor.

Our founder, St. Eugene de Mazenod, established the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in 1816, inspired by the words of Jesus to His apostles: “Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons. Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.” Matthew 10:8

When you support Missionary Oblates, you are also fulfilling that calling to provide comfort and hope to those most in need. What a beautiful way to honor your departed loved ones with a gift that will bring the healing love of Jesus to the poor and abandoned.

In Jesus Christ and Mary Immaculate,
Father David P. Uribe, OMI
Oblate Chaplain Director

P.S. Don’t be discouraged or lose hope –– Saint Michael will guide and protect you through this uncertain time. Please send me your petitions and needs as soon as possible so they can be remembered during our special Mass in your honor. Please also know that you are remembered in my daily prayers and Masses.
