The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate minister to the Ojibwe Native Americans, more familiarly known as the Chippewa, at six parishes on the large White Earth Reservation in remote northern Minnesota. The climate is challenging for agriculture and there is little industry. More than half of the people here live in poverty.

We work to improve the lives of residents of the reservation through providing weekly religious education and faith formation for young people and food for families in need. We also care for the spiritual well-being of people by celebrating Mass, administering the sacraments, visiting the isolated sick and elderly and offering counseling. Being present and available for the people is the most important thing we Missionary Oblates do.

We are honored to light a candle and pray for you and your intentions. Please scroll down for information on how to let us know to do this.

Your generosity makes a difference and helps continue our outreach to people who are working to build a better future for themselves and their children. During this Christmas season, will you please consider helping the people of the White Earth Reservation?
