Novena Prayers: All Souls Novena
Day 1: November 2, 2025
Scripture: “If we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him.” —Romans 6:8
Reflection:
Grief is love that has nowhere to go. But in prayer, that love finds its destination. It becomes a sacred offering—entrusted to God, who receives it with tenderness and transforms it into grace.
Let us Pray,
Merciful Father,
Today we remember with love those who have gone before us. Receive them into Your eternal embrace. May perpetual light shine upon them, and may they rest in Your peace. Help us to carry their memory with grace, and to live in a way that honors their legacy. May our sorrow be transformed into gratitude, and our grief into sacred prayer.
Amen
Day 2: November 3, 2025
Scripture: “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live.” —John 11:25
Reflection:
Hope is not a denial of grief—it is its companion. In the promise of resurrection, we find strength to carry on and courage to believe that love endures beyond the grave.
Let us Pray,
God of eternal life,
You have conquered death and opened the gates of heaven. Receive the souls of our beloved departed into Your glory. Strengthen our faith in the resurrection. Let Your promise be our comfort and our courage. May we live with the certainty that we will meet again in Your kingdom.
Amen
Day 3: November 4, 2025
Scripture: “The Lord is good to all, compassionate toward all his works.” —Psalm 145:9
Reflection:
To be forgotten by the world is not to be forgotten by God. In lifting these souls, we affirm their dignity and offer them the grace of remembrance.
Let us Pray,
Compassionate Lord,
You know every soul by name—even those the world has forgotten. Let our prayers be a light in their darkness, a voice in their silence, a sign of Your enduring love. May Your mercy surround them, and may they find comfort in Your eternal embrace.
Amen
Day 4: November 5, 2025
Scripture: “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.” —Psalm 107:1
Reflection:
Gratitude is the language of love remembered. It allows us to celebrate what was, even as we mourn what is no longer.
Let us Pray,
Gracious God,
We thank You for the lives of those we hold in memory. For the joy they brought, the wisdom they shared, and the love they gave. May their legacy live on in us—in our choices, our compassion, and our faith. Receive them into Your kingdom, and let their memory continue to inspire us.
Amen
Day 5: November 6, 2025
Scripture: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning.” —Revelation 21:4
Reflection:
Justice in God’s hands is not punishment—it is restoration. It is the healing of all that was broken and the fulfillment of all that was promised.
Let us Pray,
Just and merciful God,
You see every heart and know every story. Today we entrust the souls of our departed to Your loving judgment. Purify them with Your mercy. Heal what was wounded, restore what was lost, and lead them into the fullness of eternal life. Help us to trust in Your justice, which is always tempered by love.
Amen
Day 6: November 7, 2025
Scripture: “The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” —Psalm 29:11
Reflection:
Peace is the fruit of trust. It is the quiet assurance that God holds every soul, and that love never dies.
Let us Pray,
God of peace,
Grant eternal rest to those who have died. May their souls be embraced by Your love, and may those who grieve be consoled by Your presence. Let Your peace reign in every heart—in the silence of remembrance and in the hope of reunion.
Amen
Day 7: November 8, 2025
Scripture: “Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us persevere in running the race.” —Hebrews 12:1
Reflection:
The veil between heaven and earth is thin. In prayer, we touch eternity and commune with those who now live in God’s glory.
Let us Pray,
Lord of all,
Today we rejoice in the communion of saints. We are not alone—our prayers are joined with those who have gone before us. May we feel their presence in our lives, and may our prayers lift them toward Your light. Unite us in faith, across time and space, and let our love be a thread that binds the Body of Christ together.
Amen
Day 8: November 9, 2025
Scripture: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” —Psalm 147:3
Reflection:
Healing does not erase sorrow—it sanctifies it. In God’s hands, even our tears become prayers.
Let us Pray,
God of mercy and compassion,
Receive the souls who await your judgment with hope. May your love purify them and draw them into the fullness of eternal life. And for those who remain, brokenhearted and weary, Bind up their wounds with your healing grace. Let your promise of restoration be their strength, And may love—undiminished by death—be their path to peace.
Amen
Day 9: November 10, 2025
Scripture: “The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them.” —Wisdom 3:1
Reflection:
In God’s light, there is no darkness. Every soul entrusted to Him is held in love and peace. The veil between this life and the next is thin, and in prayer, we remain united with those who have gone before us.
Let us Pray,
God of light and life,
We entrust the souls of our beloved departed to Your eternal embrace. May they dwell in Your glory, surrounded by peace and radiant with joy. Let Your light shine upon them, and let Your love console those of us who remain. May we live in hope, walk in faith, and carry the memory of our loved ones with reverence and gratitude. And when our own time comes, may we be welcomed into the same light that now holds them.
Amen
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Today we complete our novena, but our prayers continue. The journey of remembrance does not end—it deepens. We entrust every soul to the eternal light of Christ, where love never ends and peace is everlasting.
In these nine days, we have lifted names, memories, and sorrows to heaven. We have prayed for the forgotten, given thanks for lives well lived, and asked for healing—for the departed and for ourselves. Now, we place every soul in the hands of God, whose mercy is boundless and whose light never fades.
