Become a Co-Missionary with the Oblates
“We must strive first of all to lead people to act like human beings, and then like Christians, and finally we must help them to become saints.” – St. Eugene de Mazenod, Founder, Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate
St. Eugene founded the Missionary Oblates in 1816, naming the congregation after Mary Immaculate. St. Eugene felt Mary could most inspire and nurture the missionary identity of the congregation because of her role in missionary work—she was the first disciple to walk faithfully in the steps of her son, Jesus Christ.
Pope Pius XI called us “specialists in the most difficult missions,” and we take great pride that our 3,500 Oblate priests and brothers care for the spiritual and physical needs of the poor and most abandoned in the United States and 70 countries throughout the world.
Each of us can help others in different ways. Becoming a Club Member is an affordable commitment to be a co-missionary with us in these difficult missions. Your small, but regular gift provides recognition that our efforts will help.
