Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to questions we receive often from donors regarding our rebranding campaign and other important topics.
1. Why did the phone number change?
There is only one phone number now to reach a Donor Service Representative, 1-888-330-6264.
2. Why are there new addresses?
The Missionary Oblates recently merged their fundraising operations in order to be better stewards of the gifts they receive. In order to cut processing costs, all donations are now sent to a Topeka, Kansas address. Non-donation mail can be sent to the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate USA office in San Antonio, Texas.
3. Why did the name change?
The Missionary Oblates’ two main fundraising offices, Oblate Missions in San Antonio, Texas, and the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate in Belleville, Illinois, were merged in 2022. The new name is Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate – USA. The name of the congregation, Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, has not changed.
4. Why am I no longer receiving as much mail from the Oblates?
Costs to correspond with you through the mail continue to rise, putting a strain on the Oblates’ finances. Thus, many people are receiving less mail from the Oblates. To receive additional correspondences from the Oblates digitally, click here.
5. Why does it take so long to receive my thank-you gift?
We try to send thank-you gifts to our benefactors as quickly as possible. However, some issues beyond our control, such as personnel shortages at the post office or receiving items from vendors late, can cause delays. It is our goal to have benefactors receive their thank-you gifts within 3 – 6 weeks.
6. Can I receive more cards?
With our current goal of optimizing resources to be better stewards of donors’ funds, it is no longer practical or feasible for us to mail additional cards to donors.
7. Why are there now a limited amount of gift options?
Costs to store and process gifts such as rosaries, statues and other devotional items are becoming prohibitive. While we want to send a gift to our benefactors to thank them for our support, having a wide range of gift items is not very cost-effective and results in less money being able to go to our missions among the poor and needy.
