National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows

This individual is responsible for the preparation, cooking and service of banquet style meals to the guests of the Retreat Center and other functions the Shrine may be hosting. This individual will be responsible for preparing and serving tasty and nutritious meals on time. Tasks include preparation and serving of food, attention to guest needs during meals. Ensures clean-up, sanitation, and safety procedures in the kitchen. This person will be required to work most weekends.
This individual must have the ability to maintain composure under stress, demonstrate good problem-solving skills while also being open-minded to the opinions of others. Must have a strong sense of Christian Hospitality towards all guest and coworkers. Posses the ability to continually learn and provide support to the Lead Cook and other Food Service Assistants.

Summary of Position
The Chapel and Events Assistant provides administrative support to the Chapel Director and Hospitality Coordinators. Chapel Logistics: Works collaboratively to prepare, communicate and coordinate various elements of all regular and special chapel events. (e.g. orders of service, announcements, release forms, faculty/staff communion servers, student roles.) Responsible scheduling all weddings at the chapel, informing couples of OST’s wedding policies, scheduling initial consultations and tours. Responsible for all communications from initial consultation up to the day of the wedding. Responsible for recording wedding paperwork at Blessed Sacrament Church. Responsible for unlocking the chapel two hours before the wedding, clean up and lock up afterwards. Assists in coordinating and hosting chapel speakers who have been invited by an academic department or others. Assists the Chapel Director and staff in the planning of the chapel schedule and services and that the Chapel calendar is updated and correct. Responsible for coordinating funerals and other Masses with family members or people responsible for confirming dates and times to ensure their needs are met. Coordinates with Maintenance for assistance with parking and event set ups (e.g., extra chairs/tables). Assists with events at the Whitley Event Center and the Benson Theological Center to ensure guest have a pleasant experience and events go smoothly.
Summary of Position
Oblate School of Theology, a Roman Catholic school of Theology and Ministry serving the Southwest United States, invites applications for Professor of Spirituality and Director of the Masters in Spirituality. The position is open-rank and has a preferred start date of August 2025. In light of the inter- and multi-disciplinary perspectives informing the field of Spirituality, we welcome applicants with doctoral training in spirituality, theology, practical theology, religious studies, or another related field. Specialization for the position is open, and we welcome applicants from all Christian denominations. Teaching responsibilities typically include three or four graduate classes per year.
Summary of Position
The candidate should possess a firm commitment to the robust Catholic moral tradition that is both attentive and responsive to the complex ethical challenges confronting the Church as it proclaims the gospel. Research in a variety of specializations and issues is welcome, including, but not limited to, areas such as social justice, migration, the environment, health care, family life, and the dignity of the human person in community. Critical scholarship in service of the pastoral needs of the Church and the Catholic faithful is particularly valued. The ideal candidate will be prepared to teach a sequence of masters-level courses in Foundations of Moral Theology, Bioethics and Health Care, Theology of Human Sexuality, and Catholic Social Teaching. Teaching responsibilities also include elective courses in one’s area of expertise.
Summary of Position
The candidate should be a Roman Catholic priest in good standing with a firm commitment to the Catholic sacramental and liturgical tradition who is both attentive and responsive to the complex cultural and pastoral challenges confronting the Church as it proclaims the gospel. A robust research agenda in any of the sub-specializations of liturgical and sacramental theology is welcome. The ideal candidate will be closely attentive to the diverse pastoral and liturgical needs of the Church and will be prepared to teach a sequence of masters-level courses in Eucharist and Sacraments of Healing, including relevant practica.
The successful candidate will meet the requirements of Ex Corde Ecclesiae and be willing to request a mandatum.

Oblate Madonna Residence:

Summary of Position
Assists in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health care provided at Oblate Madonna Residence, (OMR), under the direction of the
Director of Nursing and Supervisor of Nursing. Provides delegated nursing care
and functions at Oblate Madonna Residence as assigned by the Supervisor of
Nursing using and complying with established procedures, policies, guidelines,
and standards. Assesses health status of patients and follows a plan of care as
prescribed by the Registered Nurse. Properly utilizes and maintains
communication by utilizing the proper Chain of Command at OMR. Answers and
refers to telephone calls or other inquiries to ensure accurate and timely
communication is facilitated. Supervises unlicensed health care personnel.
Accurately documents medical and pertinent information in medical records.
In the absence of the Supervisor of Nursing acts as the liaison between patients,
physicians, family members and the Oblate Administration. Assists patients,
family members or other clients with concern and empathy; respect their
confidentiality and privacy and communicate with them in a courteous and
respectful manner. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Summary of Position
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Nursing and Licensed Nursing staff, the CNA will assist patients with daily activities, self administration of medications, monitoring their vital signs and reporting their mental, physical, or emotional conditions. Will also perform light housekeeping and bed making. Reports changes in patients’ health conditions directly to the Nurse on duty. Performs vital sign assessments. Assists patients with self administration of medications. Aids with patient’s personal hygiene such as bathing, grooming and toileting. Assists patients with safety needs such as transfers, and position changes plus assures a safe environment. In the absence of the Supervisor of Nursing, the CNA will report directly to the Licensed Nursing staff on duty. Accompanies patients to doctor appointments as necessary. Assists patients with mobility where applicable. Performs home management functions such as light housekeeping and bed making. Complete five hours of continuing education a year. Will also perform light housekeeping and bed making. Assumes responsibility to be knowledgeable of current residents’ conditions and medical issues, as well as all other information pertinent to providing their care by getting a verbal report at the beginning of scheduled shift from the charge nurse and giving a verbal report to the charge nurse before end of shift. Must be knowledgeable in the performance and documentation of vital signs. Performs all required documentation accurately and thoroughly Assists with residents’ meals whether feeding or serving. Offers food and hydration throughout the shift. Be trained in and able to perform medication reminders per the house policy and assists residents with self-administration of medications. Aids with resident’s personal hygiene such as bathing, grooming and toileting. Provides exercise, active or passive, including taking immobile residents outdoors in good weather. Assists residents with safety needs such as transfers, and position changes plus assures a safe environment. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, will report any concerns directly to the charge nurse on duty or on call. Feel confident in calling for emergency medical services when directed by the on-call nurse or house superior. Assists residents with mobility where applicable. Will be cognizant of the residents’ environment, performs general home management functions such as light housekeeping and bed making as necessary and reports all safety concerns to the charge nurse. Report repair and supply needs to the charge nurse. Be responsible for continued education by attending in-services and regularly scheduled staff meetings and completing five hours of continuing education a year. Must maintain current certification. Complies with all resident care philosophies and understands residents’ rights. Establish a therapeutic relationship with residents, co-workers, and superiors. Summary of Position
Charge nurse is any Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed with the Massachusetts Nursing Board of Registration who will provide nursing care to Oblate residents. Strive for excellence by having the willingness to exceed expectations in the effective and efficient delivery of patient care. Work within the scope of practice as determined by licensure. Has the ability to function as a team leader. Assume responsibility for meeting all physical and emotional demands of patient care and all other nursing care duties and assigned tasks. Supervise and evaluate the work of the assistants on his/her shift. Give education and counsel to the assistants as needed. Render first aid, treatment and advice to community residents as clinical symptoms are presented.
