By visiting our website, making a donation, or providing your contact information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. We Respect Your Privacy

We are deeply grateful for the trust our donors and supporters place in us. As a Catholic missionary organization, we believe that trust is sacred, and we are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of everyone who partners with us in prayer or in giving. We collect and use personal information only in ways that support our mission — to communicate with you about the work you help make possible, to process and acknowledge your gifts, and to keep you connected to the ministries you care about. We do not collect or use your information for any purpose unrelated to that mission.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Contact information you provide, such as your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number.
• Donation information, such as gift amount, date, payment method, and giving history. (We do not store full credit card or bank account numbers; these are processed by our third-party payment processor, described in Section 9.)
• Communication preferences, such as whether you have opted-in to receive email or text messages from us, any prayer requests, intentions, prayer chains or comments you submit to us directly or via email or our website(s).
• Technical information collected automatically through our website(s), such as IP address, browser/device type, and pages visited, typically through cookies or other technology.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and acknowledge your donations and issue tax receipts.
• Communicate with you about our missions, ministries, prayer requests, appeals, newsletters, and events.
• Respond to your questions or requests.
• Maintain accurate donor records and comply with legal and accounting requirements.
• Improve our website(s) and communications.

4. Email Communications

If you provide your email address to us — for example, by making a donation, subscribing to our newsletter, or submitting a prayer request — we may add you to our email list to send you updates about our mission, appeals, and other communications. Every email we send includes instructions for unsubscribing and managing your email communications preferences. You may opt out of future emails at any time by:

• Clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email we send; or
• Contacting us using the information in Section 11.

We do not sell or rent your email address to third parties. We may still send you transactional emails (such as donation receipts or confirmations) related to a gift or request you have made, even if you have unsubscribed from general communications.

5. Text Message (SMS) Communications

We may offer donors and supporters the option to receive text messages from us, such as prayer reminders, appeal updates, or event notices. If we operate a text messaging program:

• We will only send you text messages if you have affirmatively opted in (for example, by texting a keyword to a designated number, or checking a consent box on our website or a paper form), in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and related regulations.
• Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency may vary.
• You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any message you receive from us, or by contacting us using the information in Section 11. You may reply “HELP” for assistance.
• Your consent to receive text messages is not shared with, sold, or transferred to any third party, and is not a condition of any donation or purchase.
• We do not use automated dialing or texting technology to contact you without your consent.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.

From time to time, we may share or exchange donor names and mailing addresses — never email addresses, phone numbers, SMS consent, or financial information — with other Catholic and like-minded charitable organizations whose mission and values are compatible with ours, so that they may contact you by mail about their own work. We carefully screen any organization before sharing information in this way.

If you would prefer that we not share your name and mailing address in this way, you may opt out at any time, at no cost, by contacting us using the information in Section 11. We will honor your request promptly.

We may also share information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf (such as payment processing, mailing services, or email delivery), who are contractually required to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate USA, our donors, or others.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption and secure servers, to protect the information we collect, including for online donations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our website and communications are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Third-Party Payment Processing

Online donations are processed through a third-party payment processor. Your payment card or bank account information is transmitted directly to and stored by that processor in accordance with its own privacy and security practices and is not stored on our servers.

10. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website(s) may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some website features.

11. Your Choices and Contacting Us

You may, at any time and at no cost:

• Opt-out of email communications (see Section 4).
• Opt-out of text messages (see Section 5).
• Ask us not to share your name and mailing address with other organizations (see Section 6).
• Request to review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to our recordkeeping obligations as a nonprofit and any applicable state privacy law rights.

12. State Privacy Rights
