Celebrate Corpus Christi: Christ’s Body and Blood, Our Salvation

The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ – Corpus Christi – invites us to pause, reflect, and celebrate the profound mystery of the Eucharist, where Christ’s real and abiding presence nourishes us spiritually and strengthens our faith. On this special day, we are called to deepen our connection with the Lord, recognizing the sacred gift of His Body and Blood, given freely for us as sacrifice.

A Feast of Faith and Communion

In the Eucharist, we experience the intimate union between Christ and His Church. Every time we partake in Holy Communion, we draw closer to Him. This holy day reminds us that Jesus is not a distant figure but a living presence who walks with us through every trial, joy, and sorrow. He remains present to us, offering us spiritual nourishment, and giving us the strength to face the challenges of life.

As it is written in Luke 22:19-20“This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me. And likewise, the cup after they had eaten, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you.’” These words from our Savior remind us of His ultimate sacrifice—His Body and Blood, given freely for our salvation.

Missionary Oblates: 200+ Years of Service

For over two centuries, the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI) have been bringing the good news of Christ’s love and sacrifice to those most in need. In 70 countries, including regions marked by poverty, conflict, and displacement, the Missionary Oblates work tirelessly to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of communities.

Just as Christ offers His body and blood to us, the Missionary Oblates bring the love of Christ to those who may not have the opportunity to know His presence. In places like North America, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, they bring healing, hope, and spiritual nourishment, helping the most marginalized experience the tangible love of Christ in both word and action.

Through spiritual guidance, education, healthcare, and shelter, the Oblates embody the Eucharist’s call to serve others. They follow the example set by Christ, offering their lives in service to others, living out the Eucharistic mission of selfless love.

The Eucharist: A Living Sign of Love and Sacrifice

Jesus’ Body and Blood are given to us out of unfathomable love. The Eucharist is not just a ritual; it is a life-changing gift that sustains us spiritually and physically. As we celebrate this holy day, we remember that Christ gave His life for the salvation of the world, offering His very self to each of us as a pathway to salvation.

The Eucharist empowers us to live out the Eucharistic mission—to share the love we receive and extend it to others, especially to those who suffer in silence. The Missionary Oblates are a testament to how generosity and service transform lives. Every gift you give helps to provide life-sustaining resources and hope to communities in desperate need.

A Call to Live Out the Eucharistic Mission

As we honor the Body and Blood of Christ, let us renew our commitment to living the Eucharistic mission. Christ nourishes us through the Eucharist, and we are called to nourish others through our actions. Whether through service, charity, or prayer, every act of kindness becomes a living extension of the love Christ offers us.

Will you help the Missionary Oblates continue this work? Your generosity will reach the farthest corners of the earth, bringing hope, healing, and love to those who need it most.

The need is urgent. The Missionary Oblates are already on the ground, but they cannot do it alone. Your support helps meet immediate needs and transforms lives, ensuring that Christ’s presence is felt where it is most needed.
