Novena to St. Joseph
March 11 – March 19
Day 1 — March 11
St. Joseph, Model of Faith
Scripture: “Joseph, son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her, is of the Holy Ghost.” — Matthew 1:20
Reflection: St. Joseph’s faith was revealed through action, not words. When God made His will known, Joseph responded with trust instead of fear. He shows us that true faith is the courage to surrender our plans and follow God, even when the path is unclear.
Prayer: St. Joseph, model of faith, help me trust God with the same quiet strength that guided your life. Teach me to listen for His voice, welcome His will with peace, and walk forward with confidence in His care. Amen.
Day 2 — March 12
St. Joseph, Guardian of the Holy Family
Scripture: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness.” —John 8:12

Prayer: St. Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family, watch over my home and those I love. Help me respond with readiness when God calls and love generously in all I do. Amen.
Day 3 — March 13
St. Joseph, Man of Silence and Discernment
Scripture: “Be still, and see that I am God.”— Psalm 46:11
Reflection: In silence, St. Joseph listened for God’s voice. His quiet strength teaches us that stillness is not emptiness, but a sacred space where God speaks and guides our lives.
Prayer: St. Joseph, man of silence, quiet my heart so I may hear God more clearly. Teach me to embrace stillness and trust His presence. Amen.
Day 4 — March 14
St. Joseph, Model of Humility
Scripture: “Learn of me, because I am meek and humble of heart.”— Matthew 11:29
Reflection: St. Joseph never sought recognition, only to fulfill God’s will. His humility reminds us that true greatness is found in faithful service, not in seeking attention.
Prayer: St. Joseph, humble servant, help me place God’s will above my own. Teach me to serve with sincerity and love in all things. Amen.
Day 5 — March 15
St. Joseph, Protector of Workers
Scripture: “Let every man abide in the same calling in which he was called.”— 1 Corinthians 7:20
Reflection: Through his daily labor, St. Joseph shows us that work can become a path to holiness. When offered to God, even ordinary tasks are filled with purpose and grace.
Prayer: St. Joseph, protector of workers, bless the work of my hands. Help me labor with diligence, humility, and love, offering all I do to God. Amen.
Day 6 — March 16
St. Joseph, Model of Courage
Scripture: “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?”
— Psalm 26:1
Reflection: St. Joseph’s courage was steady and rooted in trust. He reminds us that true courage comes not from strength alone, but from faith in God’s presence through every trial.
Prayer: St. Joseph, courageous protector, strengthen my heart in times of fear. Help me trust God and move forward with faith and peace. Amen.
Day 7 — March 17
St. Joseph, Patron of the Dying

Day 8 — March 18
St. Joseph, Mirror of Patience

Reflection: St. Joseph lived a life of waiting—trusting God’s timing without complaint. His patience teaches us to surrender control and believe that God is always at work.
Prayer: St. Joseph, mirror of patience, help me trust God’s timing. Teach me to wait with hope and endure with peace. Amen.
Day 9 — March 19
St. Joseph, Hope of the Sick and Suffering
Scripture: “The righteous cry out, the Lord hears and rescues them from all their afflictions.”— Psalm 34:17–18
Reflection: St. Joseph’s quiet strength brings comfort to those who suffer. His life reminds us that God draws near in our weakness and that no burden is beyond His care.
