Daily Prayer 3/4

Wednesday of the Second Week of Lent

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month. Amen

Let us pray that nations move toward effective disarmament, particularly nuclear disarmament, and that world leaders choose the path of dialogue and diplomacy instead of violence. (USCCB.org)

Gospel Reading of the Day:  Matthew 20:17-28

Daily Prayer:

Lord Jesus, on this Lenten Wednesday, I listen to Your prediction of sacrifice and surrender in what awakes You in Jerusalem. Open my mind to understand Your sacrificial love as You meet the cross. Release the pride in my life so I may serve others with great humility. May my actions today always reflect and honor the mercy You offer to all. Amen.
