Daily Prayer 8/19

Tuesday of the Twentieth Week in Ordinary Time

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month.  Amen

Let us pray that societies where coexistence seems more difficult might not succumb to the temptation of confrontation for ethnic, political, religious, or ideological reasons.

Gospel Reading of the Day:  Matthew 19:23-30

Daily Prayer:

Gracious Lord, at time, I see how challenging it is to enter Your kingdom and walk in Your ways. I have made many sacrifices in my life, but sometimes I question if the sacrifices are worth it. Yet, You promise a hundredfold and eternal life in return. Strengthen my resolve when the road feels lonely and the reward seems distant. Let me always trust that in losing, I am truly gaining You. Amen
