On December 1, people around the world will come together for Giving Tuesday.
Our goal is to raise $150,000 in one day, which can be matched up to $500,000.
When Willyam came to the Oblates’ CARES Program in Baja California, trusting other people was hard.
He had experienced mistreatment, fear, and trauma. Even accepting a hug was too much.
But the teachers at CARES saw more than his fear. They saw a child with dignity, ability, and a place in this world.
Because of you, they had the time to be patient. Slowly, trust replaced fear.
Today, Willyam forms healthy connections. He participates in his classroom. He learns with confidence.
He is discovering that he belongs.
CARES welcomes children with autism, Down syndrome, Angelman syndrome, and other disabilities who have often been turned away elsewhere. Here they are embraced, protected, and given the tools to grow with dignity.
