Day 5 of Novena to Our Lady of the Snows

Scripture:
But he was pierced for our sins, crushed for our iniquity. He bore the punishment that makes us whole, by his wounds we were healed.” — Isaiah 53:5

“Your faith has saved you.” — Mark 10:52

Contemplation:
Bring your physical needs—and the needs of loved ones—before God with trust.

Reflection:
There are moments when the body itself carries the weight… when pain becomes constant… when weakness replaces strength… when healing feels distant.
In those moments, the heart begins to cry out—like Bartimaeus on the roadside:
“Jesus, have mercy on me.”
And he was heard.
Through every wound Jesus bore… through every suffering he carried… Isaiah tells us:
“He has taken our infirmities…”
“and by His wounds we are healed.”
Not from afar… but through a love that enters directly into human pain.
Jesus still passes by.
Still hears.
Still stops.
“Take courage… rise… He is calling you.”
And in that call there is hope.
In that touch, there is restoration.
In the quiet grace of the Anointing of the Sick, Christ draws near in a way the world cannot see—bringing comfort… courage… and a deep, unseen healing of the soul.
Our Lady of Good Health… you who stood beside your Son in His suffering, stand close now to all who suffer in body.
When pain overwhelms… be their peace.
When fear takes hold… be their strength.
When the journey feels long… be their companion.
For those awaiting healing… for those enduring illness… for those longing simply for relief—lift their cry to your Son.
You are not unseen in your suffering.
You are not alone in your pain.
Even here—grace is present.
Even now—healing is unfolding.
And in the gentle mercy of God, wholeness—body, mind, and soul—is being restored.

Prayer:
Our Lady of Good Health,
you who stood beside your Son in His suffering,
be close to all who seek healing of body today.
Intercede for the sick, the injured, the frail,
and for all who await surgery, treatment, or relief.
Strengthen caregivers, medical workers, and all who accompany the suffering.
Through the wounds of Christ we are healed;
through His touch we are restored.
May the Anointing of the Sick bring comfort, courage,
and the grace of God’s healing presence.
Mother of mercy,
lift up all who cry out in pain,
and obtain for them the wholeness God desires.
Amen.
