Day 6 of Novena to Our Lady of the Snows

Scripture:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

“He rebuked the unclean spirit.” — Luke 4:35

Contemplation:
Where do you—or someone you love—need God’s strength to overcome what feels impossible?

Reflection:
There are battles fought quietly…
deep within the heart…
where habits cling…
where freedom feels just out of reach.
A pull that is hard to explain…
a cycle that feels unbreakable…
a weight carried day after day.
Saint Paul knew this struggle.
He spoke of a weakness that would not leave him—
a thorn that humbled him…
a burden he could not overcome alone.
And still, the Lord answered:
“My grace is sufficient for you…
for power is made perfect in weakness.”
Not when strength returns…
not when the struggle disappears…
but right here… in the middle of it.
And in the Gospel, a voice cries out—
tormented, bound, unable to free itself.
Jesus speaks…
and everything changes.
With authority…
with compassion…
He commands freedom.
What binds you… does not define you.
What traps you… does not have the final word.
Our Lady of Victory…
you who crush the power of darkness,
draw near to every hidden battle.
When chains feel unbreakable… bring courage.
When shame isolates… bring mercy.
When weakness feels overwhelming… remind the heart:
grace is already at work.
Freedom often begins quietly—
one honest step…
one sincere prayer…
one moment of choosing hope again.
And you do not walk this path alone.
Even now…
strength is rising within you.
Grace is meeting you in your weakness.
Victory—slow, steady, real—is unfolding.
Stay with Him.
Trust the grace given this day.
And step by step…
light will break through.

Prayer:
Our Lady of Victory,
you who crush the power of darkness,
stand beside all who struggle with addiction
and all who love them.
Where chains of dependency bind the heart,
ask your Son to break them.
Where shame or fear isolates,
bring courage and compassion.
Where weakness overwhelms,
let God’s grace be sufficient.
As Jesus cast out the unclean spirit,
may His authority free every soul
from whatever diminishes life and dignity.
Lead all who battle addiction into victory,
one step, one day, one grace at a time.
