Celebrate the Solemnity of Saint John the Baptist’s Birth
On June 24, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, the man chosen by God to prepare hearts for the coming of Christ. His birth was not just an event—it was a divine promise unfolding, a sign that God was bringing salvation into the world.
“And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare his ways” (Luke 1:76).
Like St. John the Baptist, the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate embrace the call to prepare the way for Christ in the world today. Through missionary service, pastoral care, and outreach to the most abandoned, the Missionary Oblates continue the spirit of St. John—proclaiming the Gospel, calling others to faith, and bringing hope where it is most needed.
John’s life was one of sacrifice, courage, and unwavering faith, and the Missionary Oblates follow this example by walking alongside those seeking God’s love. His voice echoed through generations, challenging us to live with conviction and to open our hearts to Christ—just as the Missionary Oblates do in their dedication to serving the poor and marginalized.
This feast is an invitation—to reflect on John’s mission, to recommit to faith, and to support the ongoing work of the Missionary Oblates as they continue to spread Christ’s love to every corner of the world.
Join us in honoring St. John the Baptist through prayer, reflection, and celebration and become part of the mission to carry his spirit forward in service and faith.
