A Blessing to Protect and Bless Your Home and Loved Ones

May the LORD bless you
   and protect you.

May the LORD smile on you
   and be gracious to you.

May the LORD show you his favor
   and give you his peace.

Numbers 6:24-26 (New Living Translation)

As we prepare to start the new year of 2024, wouldn’t you like to have your home filled with the blessings of God? For many Christians, the custom is to bless the home on January 6, the Feast of the Epiphany.

As a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate, I would love to personally visit your home to bestow this blessing. Since that is not possible, to impart this blessing, simply follow these steps:

  1. Gather with your family and loved ones and pray the blessing in your home.
  2. Sprinkle a few drops of holy water in each room.
  3. Then place this blessing in a visible place in your home. (Clicking this link brings up the blessing as a PDF, allowing you to print.) Many people place the blessing near the door to the kitchen.

As Christians, we know that prayer is one of the greatest acts of love. By asking God’s blessing on your home – for His peace and love to watch over all who dwell and visit there – your prayers will be returned as a blessing to the children, the elderly and their families in our Oblate missions who lack the most basic things to live with dignity. I invite you to join the Missionary Oblates in prayer as we ask God to strengthen the bond of love between all members of your family.

I would be honored to send you a bottle of holy water from one of the most sacred places in the world, the spring in Lourdes, France, where our Blessed Mother appeared to St. Bernadette.

Your gift helps support our priests and brothers working with the poor and most abandoned in our missions and ministries in 70 countries around the world.
